The noise level in my office rose to a new high today because a bunch of noisy ill-disciplined lovely, excited brats kids were happily running up and down the aisles.
I reckon it is a generous gesture on the part of my company to hold an “open house” for kids to view where their parents slave work to bring the bacon home. At least, the kids know their parents are not banished to a dark and damp dungeon (more like brightly-lit 8 x 8 cells, the ones interrogation rooms are made of) for the most part of the day. “They even have a TV to watch Kids Central!” one happy camper exclaimed.
To be fair, the pantry comes with vending machines that dispense free coffee, tea and milo. “Wah! Mummy, the milo in your office taste better than at home!!” Of course … since at home, you don’t get the kick out of pressing a button and hey presto! a steaming cup of pre-mix milo. “Mummy, can we install one of those vending machines at home?” *Exasperated* Charming kids …
De ja vu! Its a Kids-Meet-Bosses session (instead of Parents-Teachers Day). No wonder my company has won numerous awards for promoting work-life balance.

haha. where is your current office?
