San Jose, CA
It has been 4 days since I am back in San Jose … back in the sense that I have always enjoyed the Californian state and treated it as a second home. That probably explained why I got over the jetlag quickly on Friday and had a great weekend meeting friends, visiting the city and generally enjoying every single minute of my stay. However, time passes quickly and it has been a whirlwind 2 days of seminars, training and conferences. I am also intoxicated both with work and literally (must have drunk nearly a bottle of wine last night … and that’s not counting the beers before that). Last night, the company hosted the team in a restaurant called STRAITS (down by Santana row), which I believe is helmed by a Singaporean. The food was a mix of psuedo-Singaporean/Malaysian styled cuisine (imagine banana springrolls!!!) with an infusion of local Californian palate. All I could remember is that sweet nectar from Napa that kept filling my glass.
I will fly home this Sat early morning … 3 more days here in the USofA and hopefully get to spend some time walking the streets of San Francisco, the city of lights and slopes. With some flowers on my hair : )
